Medications which are non-controlled (such as most meds for blood pressure, cholesterol, depression, gout, diabetes, etc.) are usually filled for a 90 day supply with 1 additional refill.
This will provide you with 6 months of pills. If you are well-controlled on the medication, we generally recommend a quick check in at least once yearly, in addition to your yearly “Annual Visit”, so that we see you and can check up on you twice yearly. Of course if your meds require further adjustments or there are other health issues, we may need more visits depending on the situation.

If you are out of refills on your routine medications, the BEST way to request a refill is to ALWAYS send us an email first. DO NOT reach out to your pharmacy before you reach out to us.
If you are taking a routine medication and run out suddenly, and we have not checked in with you in the past 6-12 months, we generally provide a 30-day refill to allow adequate time for you to arrange a follow-up with one of our providers if you are overdue for this.

In addition to your annual check up, we require a visit at least once every 6 months for management of hormone prescriptions. You will also be asked to sign a separate consent form.
Medications such as those used for ADD (stimulants), Anxiety (Benzodiazepines), etc. require closer supervision. Typically we require visits on a monthly to quarterly. Under no circumstances are we able to prescribe more than 90 days of such medications without a follow up visit. You will also be asked to sign a separate consent form.
